# usage

> A command was run with an unknown, repeated, malformed or missing flag or argument.

| | |
| --- | --- |
| Kind | `disko` command error |
| `disko` exit code | 2 (usage) |

Every `disko` command reports `usage` and exits with code 2 when its command
line is wrong: an unknown command or flag, a flag given twice, a missing flag
value, an invalid `--visibility`, `--profile`, `--api` or `--registry` value,
a `--project` or `--out` path that does not fit, or a positional argument.
No command takes positional arguments, and tokens are never accepted as
arguments. The message names the flag and how to fix it. `disko dev` in a
directory without `game.json` has its own code,
[game_project_required](/errors/game_project_required).

## Wrong

```sh
disko publish ./my-game --visibility everyone
```

## Right

```sh
disko publish --project ./my-game --visibility public
```

Run `disko <command> --help` for the flags a command accepts.
