# credential_store_unavailable

> No OS credential store is available, so `disko login --with-token` cannot save the token.

`disko login --with-token` stores the CLI token in the OS credential store
(macOS Keychain, Windows Credential Manager or libsecret). When none is
available, for example in a minimal container or CI image, nothing is saved:
the command fails with `credential_store_unavailable` and exits with code 3.

## Wrong

```sh
disko login --with-token < token.txt
disko publish --visibility public
```

## Right

Pass the token through the environment instead. `DISKO_TOKEN` takes precedence
over any stored credential and needs no credential store.

```sh
export DISKO_TOKEN="$DISKO_TOKEN_FROM_YOUR_SECRET_STORE"
disko publish --visibility public
```
