An asset's bytes do not match the media type its extension selects. The
extension alone decides the type, and the file must start with that format's
signature, for example `89 50 4E 47` for PNG or `OggS` for Ogg.

## Why it happens

- A file was renamed without converting it, such as a JPEG saved as `.png`.
- The file is empty or truncated.

## Wrong

```text
art/puck.png   ← JPEG data renamed to .png
```

## Right

```text
art/puck.jpg   ← the same JPEG, with its real extension
```

Or convert the image to PNG with an image editor and keep the name.
