The archive is not a valid gzip stream (header, deflate data, CRC or length).

| | |
| --- | --- |
| Kind | Build or validation problem |
| Reported by | Archive validation (registry, room hosts, disko publish) |
| `disko` exit code | 1 (problems) |

The archive could not be decompressed as gzip. The header, the deflate data,
the CRC or the length field in the trailer is wrong, or the file is not gzip
at all.

## Why it happens

Archive validation reports this code: the registry on upload, and room hosts
before loading. Archives built by `disko publish` are always valid gzip. You
usually see it when uploading a file that is not a `.tgz` (a `.zip`, a plain
`.tar`), or one that was truncated or corrupted while being copied.

## Wrong

```sh
zip -r release.tgz game.json src
```

## Right

```sh
disko publish --dry-run --out release.tgz
```
